Project Assistant vacancy!

CareTrade is a forward thinking and innovative Charity. Our ambition is to transform the lives of school leavers and young adults with autism by creating innovative and inspirational work experience and employability programmes to increase employment opportunities.

You will be based at our office near Elephant & Castle and within businesses across London supporting participants on our Reach Employment Project.

Over the past 6 years, we have learned that there is a gap in services for people aged 25 years and over, on the autistic spectrum who want to work.

We have worked in collaboration with an academic from Galway University to design an exciting two year employment study focusing on supporting those on the autistic spectrum, aged 25 years and over, who have been unemployed for 6 months or longer, and who want to work.

We are recruiting a Project Assistant to support the Project Manager with all aspects of the Reach Employment Project.

The successful candidate will support participants throughout the programme by assisting in employability skills workshops, offering support and training to participants and employers during work experience placements, liaising with work placement mentors and participants to assess when participants are work ready, supporting participants to search and apply for jobs and organising mock interviews.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all adults who use our services and as such expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All our posts are therefore subject to satisfactory Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks.

Applications are sought from all suitably qualified sections of the community.

This is a two year fixed term post subject to a 6 month probationary period. There is a possibility of additional responsibilities being given after probationary period, depending on performance. The salary is £27,000 per annum inclusive of Inner London Weighting, plus pension contribution.
